Ankara Fab

I can’t believe we are almost in August. Didn’t summer just start yesterday? Why does it have to leave us so soon? I am actually emotionally affected by this. I am going to need a moment.

I am glad about one thing though. I made sure to soak in all the sun I could. I took random walks to places I didn’t have to walk to. I did the most random (carefree) things with my sisters just to take advantage of the warmth, like making boomerang clips at the park.

That said, I think I have enough summer in me to last me the entire fall and winter season. I will actually be fine.

Onto this outfit.

I thought it was about time I displayed some ankara faboulousness on my blog. As many of you know, I am African (Nigerian specifically). Ankara is like a continental uniform for most Africans. This means you can look forward to loads of “ankara fab” posts in the future. So yay.

This particular shift dress/top was gifted to me by my late aunt (may her soul rest in peace). I love the print pattern! It might even be my favourite ankara print-and that’s saying a lot.

I love how simple, yet stylish your outfit is. I’m Nigerian too but I’m lacking in Ankara pieces. I need to fix up soon. xx

I’m Nigerian also and I love your Ankara shift dress too. Especially the V-cut of the neck.
Side note- Not to worry, summer would be back next year.

Thanks, Zulu! I am just dreading the winter cold.
