This week has been quite eventful for me. Which is why I have been sort of MIA on Instagram. It was my birthday a few days ago. So if you’ll permit me, I’ll do some public reflection with this post. Here we go.
I find it fascinating that I’ve learned to be still even when there is so much chaos around me. I am definitely not the same person I was a year ago. I’ve become so much better at managing stress. I think this growth (in terms of managing stress) came about after my last semester in school. It was literally CHAOS. But I survived. I think after that experience, no amount of “busy-ness” or chaos fazes me. And I like being this new person. It feels good to be strong while the things happening around you should be making you weak. And the best part is that it’s a different kind of strength. It’s a quiet, non-braggadocios type of strength.
Part of this growth came through my determination to joggle everything else that is going on with consistent posts on this blog. That means that if you read this blog regularly, you contributed to this growth. For that, I THANK YOU.
Onto this Outfit
It’s time for another “ankara fab” post! This time I collaborated with Lamide of House of Marthaco, a designer based in the GTA (Canada). Her designs are mostly done with the ankara fabric. Her pieces stand out to me because they are classic yet relevant to what is going on in the style world. The ankara top style I’m wearing in this post is one of my favourite pieces of her’s. (As per my love for exaggerated sleeves).
I know we don’t really follow trends around here but what is one current style trend that you admire? Let me know in the comments section below.
